Vacmux's Vacuum Runtime Calculator says how long a battery lasts at one power draw, and its Room Cleaning Time Calculator says how long your floors take at one rate. On the site they never meet, and neither says which mode it means. The spec sheet has the same gap: the headline runtime is measured in the lowest mode and the headline suction in the highest, so they never happen at the same time. The One-Charge Vacuum Kit puts the tools in the order a buyer meets them. Part 1 measures the floor by type, times one room of each, and lets a test strip choose each floor's mode. Part 2 compares suction like with like (spec-sheet maximums multiplied as printed read about four times any real peak), reads the runtime for your carpet's mode, and adds the job up as a share of a charge with an 80% margin for the battery aging. On a worked 858 sq ft home, 45.6 minutes looks like 76% of a 60-minute box; mode by mode it is 133.4%, two charges. An example bigger battery reaches 93.2% and still fails the margin, while two zones on alternate days fit the smaller one at 72.5% and 60.6%. A robot is sized the same way, with carpet budgeted at its Max runtime. Every worked figure is an example computed from the site's own calculators, and every rule of thumb is named as one. It is a method, not a product review, and it recommends no brand.
